Ameena Al Emadi

Ameena M. Al-Emadi is the Information Infrastructure Director of QPHI. She was appointed to join QPHI in September 2023, transitioning from her role as a Biobank IT manager role assigned to her back in December 2018.

Ameena has 20 years of work experience in both government and private sectors.  During her career, she actively contributed to successful delivery of IT projects at national and organizational levels. She has considerable mixed industry experience (National ICT Strategy Management in the Education sector, Contact Center, Courts modernization, Construction) In the past 5 years she joined the research sector, and it was new industry exposure, where she made high impact improvement to the biobank operation and data management. Through new systems development and consolidation, revamping old applications, information security enhancement, and data warehouse establishment for biobank clinical data and HMC EMR data. Which reduced the time for data releases to researchers significantly from 4 months to 5 working days with daily data load. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in business 

administration. Back in 2018, she published her MBA thesis in the IGI Global Journal (Title: Grounded Theory Analysis of Successful Implementation of E-Government Projects: Exploring Perceptions of E-Government Authorities). 

She has worked with several national organizations such as ictQATAR, malomatia, MCIT and Ashghal, and strongly believes in technology's role as an enabler in the process of organization transformation and is devoted to participating in Qatar’s vision in every way possible.
