Dr. Eyad Masad serves as Vice President for Research at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, where he oversees the continued growth and development of HBKU’s research ecosystem. He plays a leading role in shaping and implementing the university’s research strategy across its colleges, institutes, and centers, with a focus on research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and societal impact. Through his work, he contributed to strengthening Qatar Foundation’s research landscape and supporting Qatar’s position as a hub for research excellence.
Dr. Masad is a Distinguished Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He is internationally recognized for his academic and research contributions and has served in leadership roles with several professional organizations and on the editorial boards of international journals.
